Krista Loughton

Krista Loughton graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Specialist Degree from Brandon University in 1996.  She has since gone on to pursue her passion in film.  Our Hero, a short film produced by Krista, won the altruism category of the My Victoria Film Competition, put on by the Victoria Independent Film and Video Festival in 2007.  Our Hero is about Reverend Al Tysick, a street minister who has dedicated his life to serving the poorest of the poor in Victoria, BC.

Over the years Krista has also worked as an editor on several Vancouver based Independent Films. Midnight Madness, a documentary on the Miami Winter Music Conference was completed in January 2004. Walk Backwards premiered at the 2001 Toronto International Film Festival and Noroc opened the 2000 Milan Film Festival and premiered at the Vancouver Film Festival in 2000.

Krista owns and operates Publik Productions, and has worked extensively as an editor and videographer.  She has produced over two hundred wedding films, and is currently in the developmental stages of a documentary about Reverend Al and life on the street.
